Biblical Wisdom for Wealth
Let’s start with this truth from Jesus Himself:
‘Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. — Matthew 6:33
This verse flips our modern pursuit on its head.
The Bible never condemns wealth—but it always warns about making it the goal.
When we chase wealth for its own sake, we often lose peace.
But when we chase wisdom, purpose, and the presence of God, He entrusts us with what we need—and often much more.
Take a moment and anchor your heart in something deeper—God’s wisdom.
Here are five biblical truths to guide you on your journey.”
Wisdom Anchor 1: Desire Isn’t Wrong—Direction Is Key
Wanting to succeed, provide, or live well isn’t sinful.
But the direction of your desire matters.
Solomon asked for wisdom, not riches—and God gave him both.
Seek wisdom first, and let wealth follow God’s timing.
Wisdom Anchor 2: Wealth Without Wisdom Leads to Sorrow
Proverbs 10:22 says,
The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.
True prosperity doesn’t come with fear, anxiety, or compromise.
If it’s robbing your peace, it may not be from God.
Wisdom Anchor 3: Be a Steward, Not a Slave
Deuteronomy 8:18 reminds us:
It is the Lord your God who gives you the power to get wealth.
God gives us the ability—but we are called to steward it for His glory, not serve it as our master.

but by what you gave… and who you trusted.

Help me to seek You above all things, to treasure wisdom more than riches, and to be a faithful steward of what You entrust to me.
Purify my desires, align my heart with Yours, and teach me to invest in what matters most—Your Kingdom.
I trust You to provide, to guide, and to bless according to Your will.
