Day 9: Praying for unity, security, and the protection of America’s values and foundations.
Scripture:
Therefore I stationed some of the people behind the lowest points of the wall at the exposed places, posting them by families, with their swords, spears and bows. – Nehemiah 4:13
"he Lord will keep you from all harm—He will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore. – Psalm 121:7-8
Reflection:
Today, on the Day 9 of our “77 Days to Take Back America: Igniting A Final Great Awakening” campaign of prayer, as Nehemiah led the rebuilding of Jerusalem’s walls, he faced constant threats from those who sought to stop the work. In response, Nehemiah stationed guards to protect the city and its people, ensuring they were vigilant against all forms of opposition. In the same way, as we work to restore and protect America’s spiritual foundation, we must pray for God’s protection over our communities and leaders, asking for His angels to guard us from any forces that seek to divide or harm.
Today, let us pray for spiritual protection against the challenges and divisions that threaten our unity and values. Just as Nehemiah’s people stood ready to defend their city, we stand in faith, trusting God to surround us with His protection. We ask for angels to be stationed around our nation, shielding us from harm and guarding the mission to rebuild America according to God’s purpose.
Prayer:
Lord God, we thank You for being our ultimate protector and defender. As Nehemiah stationed guards to protect Jerusalem, we ask that You station Your angels around our communities and nation. Guard President Trump, Vice President JD Vance, our leaders, and every city and state from harm, division, and the forces that seek to disrupt the peace and unity You desire for us.
We pray for vigilance, wisdom, and strength as we work to restore America’s values and foundations. Surround us with Your heavenly hosts, shielding us from every attack and guiding us safely forward. We place our trust in You, knowing that You are watching over our coming and going now and forever.
In the Mighty name of Jesus, I invoke the standing order of Almighty God to protect my family and our beloved country, America, from every attack, to propel us above every circumstance and crisis, and to prevent any weapon formed against us from prospering, so that we will not fall or fail but will be overcomers, more than conquerors through Christ Jesus. I command angels to surround us, to uphold and guard us in all our ways. Amen.
Wisdom for Awakening:
God’s protection is a gift we can rely on. Today, trust in His vigilance over your life and community. Commit to praying for His protection and guidance, knowing He is faithful to guard what we entrust to Him.
Action for Awakening:
Take a moment to pray for your community’s safety, asking for angels to surround your neighborhood, town, or city. Consider reaching out to someone today to encourage them, letting them know you are praying for God’s protection over them and their family.
Blessing:
May the Lord be your fortress and shield. May He protect our leaders, our communities, and our nation from all harm. May His angels stand guard, defending us from every form of opposition and leading us into His peace and unity. May we walk with confidence, knowing that God is watching over every step.
