Today marks 4 Days to Christmas, a time to immerse ourselves in gratitude, experience profound joy, and worship the One whose birth changed the world forever. As we draw nearer to the day of Christ’s birth, let us reflect on how we can embrace these final days to grow in our faith and share His light with others.
Gratitude: Counting Our Blessings
Christmas invites us to pause and reflect on the blessings in our lives. From the gift of salvation to the love and support of family and friends, God’s grace overflows in abundance.
Gratitude helps us shift our focus from challenges to the joy of God’s faithfulness. In 1 Thessalonians 5:18, we’re reminded: “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
Consider the gratitude of Mary in Luke 1:46-49, as she proclaimed:
“My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for He has been mindful of the humble state of His servant.”
Today, take a moment to express your gratitude. Write down blessings that have shaped your year, thank someone who has supported you, or simply lift up a prayer of thanksgiving. Gratitude prepares our hearts to fully celebrate the joy of Christmas.
Joy: Celebrating the Good News
The Christmas story is a story of joy, grounded in the Good News of Christ’s birth. This joy reminds us that even in life’s trials, God’s love and promises remain steadfast.
In Luke 2:10-11, the angel’s message to the shepherds proclaimed:
“Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is the Messiah, the Lord.”
This joy transcends circumstances. Like the shepherds who rejoiced in the Savior’s birth, let us celebrate with hearts full of praise. Sing carols, share joyful memories, or encourage someone who may be struggling.
As Nehemiah 8:10 reminds us: “The joy of the Lord is your strength.” Let His joy inspire hope and peace during this sacred season.
Worship: Honoring the Savior’s Birth
At the heart of Christmas is worship—a heartfelt response to the incredible gift of Jesus. The shepherds worshiped, the wise men brought gifts, and the angels sang praises to the newborn King.
John 4:24 calls us to worship in spirit and truth: “God is spirit, and His worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”
Take time today to honor Christ’s birth. Reflect on the Nativity story, listen to hymns that glorify His name, or spend quiet time in prayer. Worship draws us closer to the true reason for the season and deepens our connection with God.

The Wise Men’s Journey (Matthew 2:1-12): Their perseverance reminds us to seek and honor Christ.
The Magi, often referred to as the Wise Men, traveled great distances to worship the newborn King. Their journey was guided by the light of a star, and their determination demonstrates the importance of seeking Christ no matter the obstacles. The gifts they presented—gold, frankincense, and myrrh—symbolized their reverence and acknowledgment of Jesus as King, Priest, and Savior. This story challenges us to consider what we bring to honor Christ and encourages us to seek Him with unwavering devotion.
Simeon and Anna’s Hope (Luke 2:25-38): Their steadfast faith demonstrates trust in God’s promises.
Simeon and Anna were devout believers who eagerly awaited the fulfillment of God’s promise of a Messiah. Simeon, led by the Holy Spirit, recognized Jesus as the Savior when He was brought to the temple. His declaration, “For my eyes have seen Your salvation,” reflects a life lived in hope and trust. Anna, a prophetess, also gave thanks to God and spoke of Jesus to others who were awaiting redemption. Their stories encourage us to remain steadfast in faith and trust in God’s promises, knowing that His timing is always perfect.
These stories are more than historical accounts; they are reflections of God’s love, grace, and faithfulness. "Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful." – Joshua 1:8
"Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in obedience to Him." – Psalm 128:1
Reflection:
As we progress through Day 42 of our “77 Days to Take Back America: Igniting A Final Great Awakening” campaign, Joshua’s leadership was defined by his unwavering commitment to God’s commands. He understood that obedience to God’s Word was the foundation for Israel’s success and prosperity. Faithfulness to God’s instructions not only brought victory in battles but also ensured blessings for the entire nation. Obedience remains a powerful way to honor God and align ourselves with His purpose.
Today, let us pray for our leaders to walk in faithful obedience to God’s commands. May President Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and their team make decisions that honor God’s Word and reflect His righteousness. Let us also commit ourselves to living in obedience, trusting that God’s ways lead to blessings and peace in every area of our lives.
Prayer:
Lord, we thank You for Your Word, which is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. Today, we pray for President Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and all leaders, asking that they walk in obedience to Your commands. May they meditate on Your Word and seek to align their decisions with Your truth.
Father, help us to live faithfully in obedience to You. Teach us to follow Your ways in our daily lives, trusting that Your instructions lead to blessing and prosperity. Strengthen our hearts to honor You in all that we do.
In the Mighty name of Jesus, I invoke the standing order of Almighty God to protect my family and our beloved country, America, from every attack, to propel us above every circumstance and crisis, and to prevent any weapon formed against us from prospering, so that we will not fall or fail but will be overcomers, more than conquerors through Christ Jesus. I command angels to surround us, to uphold and guard us in all our ways. Amen.
