Joy: Rejoicing in the Good News
Tomorrow, we celebrate the birth of Christ, the moment when heaven touched earth and the promise of salvation was fulfilled. The joy of Christmas is not just a fleeting emotion; it is a deep and abiding truth rooted in God’s eternal love for us. This joy is meant to overflow from our hearts, inspiring our actions and words as we share the Good News with others.
The Joy of Elizabeth and John the Baptist (Luke 1:39-45)
In Luke 1:39-45, we witness the profound joy of Elizabeth and John the Baptist, a moment that radiates faith and the awe of God’s unfolding plan.
Another beautiful expression of joy is found in the encounter between Mary and Elizabeth. When Mary visited her cousin, Elizabeth, who was pregnant with John the Baptist, the baby in Elizabeth’s womb leapt for joy. Elizabeth, filled with the Holy Spirit, exclaimed, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the child you will bear! But why am I so favored, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?” (Luke 1:42-43).
This moment captures the profound joy of recognizing God’s presence and promises. Even before his birth, John the Baptist rejoiced in the coming of the Messiah. Elizabeth’s words reveal her faith and joy in witnessing God’s plan unfold, reminding us that true joy is found in His presence and purpose.
The angels’ proclamation to the shepherds echoes this same joy: “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men” (Luke 2:14). Their message invites all of us to rejoice in the Good News that Christ has come to bring salvation and peace.
Take time today to celebrate this joy in simple but meaningful ways. Sing your favorite carols, share laughter with loved ones, or thank God in prayer for the gift of His Son. Like Elizabeth and the angels, let your joy reflect the hope and salvation that Jesus brings to the world.

Gratitude: Counting Our Blessings
As we stand on the eve of Christmas, it is the perfect time to pause and reflect on the many blessings God has given us. From the gift of salvation to the love of family and friends, there is so much to be thankful for. Gratitude shifts our focus from what we lack to the abundance of God’s provision, opening our hearts to fully embrace the miracle of Christmas.
The Ten Lepers: A Story of Gratitude (Luke 17:11-19)
In Luke 17:11-19, the story of the ten lepers reminds us of the transformative power of gratitude, as one man’s thankful heart leads to a deeper connection with God.
One of the most profound examples of gratitude in the Bible is the story of the ten lepers healed by Jesus. As they went on their way, they were cleansed, but only one returned to thank Jesus, praising God with a loud voice. Jesus asked, “Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? Has no one returned to give praise to God except this foreigner?” (Luke 17:17-18).
The one leper’s gratitude not only brought glory to God but also deepened his connection with Jesus, who said to him, “Rise and go; your faith has made you well” (Luke 17:19). This story reminds us of the importance of giving thanks, not only for the blessings we receive but also for the opportunity to grow closer to the Lord through a heart of gratitude.
The Apostle Paul echoes this call to thankfulness, saying, “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus” (1 Thessalonians 5:18). Gratitude is not just a response to good times but a recognition of God’s faithfulness in every season of life.
Take a few moments today to reflect on your blessings, both big and small. Write them down, share them with someone close to you, or lift a prayer of thanksgiving to God. Like the one grateful leper, let us turn back to the Lord with hearts full of praise, acknowledging His goodness and love.
Gratitude is a pathway to joy and a beautiful way to honor the Savior born in Bethlehem. May your heart overflow with thankfulness as we prepare to celebrate the birth of Christ.
Worship: Honoring the King of Kings
At the heart of Christmas is worship—a response to God’s incredible love displayed in the birth of His Son. The shepherds hurried to see the newborn King, the wise men journeyed far to present their gifts, and the angels sang praises in the heavens. Each act of worship reflects the awe and reverence inspired by the Savior’s arrival.
The psalmist writes, “Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker” (Psalm 95:6). Worship is not just a ritual but an attitude of the heart—a heartfelt offering of love, gratitude, and devotion.
Today, spend time worshiping the King of Kings. Read the Nativity story with your family, listen to hymns that glorify His name, or gather with loved ones to pray. Let your worship be a joyful expression of your love for Christ, who came to bring salvation to the world.
Worship: Honoring the King of Kings
As we stand just one day before Christmas, we are reminded that at the heart of this holy season is worship—a heartfelt response to God’s incredible love revealed in the birth of His Son. From the shepherds in the fields to the wise men who traveled far, the Nativity story is filled with acts of worship that honor the Savior’s arrival.
The Shepherds: Worship in Awe (Luke 2:8-20)
In Luke 2:8-20, the shepherds' awe-filled worship captures the wonder of encountering God’s glory, inspiring us to respond to His presence with heartfelt praise.
When the angel announced the birth of Jesus to the shepherds, they were filled with awe and wonder. They hurried to Bethlehem, and upon seeing the newborn King in the manger, they returned glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen. Their spontaneous worship reflects the pure joy and reverence that comes from encountering the Messiah, reminding us to marvel at God’s grace and glory.
The Wise Men: Worship through Gifts (Matthew 2:1-12)
In Matthew 2:1-12, the wise men’s worship through their treasured gifts reflects their deep reverence and recognition of Jesus as King, Priest, and Savior.
The wise men journeyed from afar, following the star that led them to Jesus. When they arrived, they bowed down and worshiped Him, presenting gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. These offerings symbolized their acknowledgment of Jesus’ divine roles: gold for His kingship, frankincense for His priesthood, and myrrh foreshadowing His sacrifice. Their actions remind us that worship involves not only words but also sacrificial devotion and gratitude.
A Heart of Worship: Honoring the Miracle of Christ's Birth
The miracle of Christ’s birth invites us to respond with hearts full of awe, gratitude, and love. Just as the wise men journeyed to offer their treasures, our worship today reflects our deep reverence and recognition of Jesus as King, Savior, and Lord. True worship is more than an act; it is the offering of our whole hearts in celebration of His infinite love and grace.
This Christmas Eve, let us join the shepherds and the wise men in worshiping the King of Kings. Worship is not merely singing songs; it is an attitude of the heart—one that exalts God through gratitude, awe, and devotion. Take time to read the Nativity story, lift prayers of thanksgiving, or sing hymns that glorify His name, echoing the reverence of those who first witnessed His arrival.
As the psalmist writes, “Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker; for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care” (Psalm 95:6-7).
Let your worship this season be a heartfelt offering to the One who gave us the ultimate gift—His Son, Jesus Christ. May it draw you closer to Him, filling your heart with peace and joy as we celebrate the miracle of His birth.

As we reflect on this final day before Christmas, we invite you to share the spirit of joy, gratitude, and worship with those around you. Let’s come together to inspire others to embrace the true meaning of Christmas and celebrate the incredible gift of God’s love.

77 Days to Take Back America: Igniting A Final Great Awakening | Faith in the Unknown – Trusting God’s Leading in Every Season | Day 50
Weeks 4-8: Divine Guidance and Governance (Inspired by Joshua)
Focus: Courage in Leadership and Unwavering Faith
Scripture:
"When you see the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, and the Levitical priests carrying it, you are to move out from your positions and follow it. Then you will know which way to go, since you have never been this way before." – Joshua 3:3-4
"For we live by faith, not by sight." – 2 Corinthians 5:7
Reflection:
When Joshua led the Israelites across the Jordan River, they were stepping into unknown territory. God instructed them to follow the ark of the covenant, symbolizing His presence and guidance. This act of faith required trusting God completely, even when the path ahead was unclear. Faith in the unknown is about believing that God goes before us, making a way even when we cannot see it.
Today, let us pray for our leaders to trust God’s leading as they navigate uncertain challenges. May President Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and their team follow His guidance with faith and courage. Let us also reflect on our own lives, asking for trust and boldness to step into the unknown, knowing that God is always ahead of us, preparing the way.
Prayer:
Lord, we thank You for being the God who leads us through every season of uncertainty. Just as You guided Joshua and the Israelites, we trust that You are going before us, preparing the way. Today, we pray for President Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and all leaders, asking that they trust in Your leading and walk by faith, not by sight.
Father, strengthen our own faith as we face the unknown in our lives. Teach us to follow You boldly, trusting that You are guiding us to the plans and purposes You have prepared for us. May we walk confidently in the assurance of Your presence.
In the Mighty name of Jesus, I invoke the standing order of Almighty God to protect my family and our beloved country, America, from every attack, to propel us above every circumstance and crisis, and to prevent any weapon formed against us from prospering, so that we will not fall or fail but will be overcomers, more than conquerors through Christ Jesus. I command angels to surround us, to uphold and guard us in all our ways. Amen.
Wisdom for Awakening:
Faith grows when we trust God in the unknown. Today, step forward with confidence, knowing that He is leading you into His perfect plan.
Action for Awakening:
Identify one area in your life where you feel uncertain or hesitant. Spend time in prayer, asking God for courage to follow His leading. Take one step of faith today, trusting in His guidance.
Blessing:
May the Lord bless you with courage to trust Him in the unknown. May He guide our leaders to follow His direction with faith and boldness. May we all walk forward in confidence, knowing that God is leading us into His promises.
